PUA provides unemployment benefits to those traditionally not eligible for unemployment benefits due to the inability to work because of the coronavirus health crisis. These workers include: self-employed, independent contractors, workers with limited work history, and more. Review this checklist to confirm you qualify.

- In order to be deemed eligible for PUA, applicants MUST first apply for traditional unemployment insurance and be denied.
